2013 Conquesta Olympiad - Countrywide (Entry closes on 12 April)
The 2013 Conquesta Olympiad registration has opened for all Grade 1-7 students. 1400 schools took part in the Conquesta Olympiad in 2012 with a home school team of 100 children. Any Grade 1-7 in the country can participate, as the question papers are POSTED to you and the child completes it at home.
Subjects include Maths 1 or 2, English 1 or 2, Afrikaans 1 or 2, Social Studies, Arts and Culture, Life Skills, Natural Science, Bible Study or General Knowledge, depending on the grade.
Entry closes on the 12 April 2013 and cost is R10 per paper.
If you are keen to enter your child, please email the following team leaders for the necessary registration forms. If you have 2 children in two different grades, an excel spreadsheet needs to be completed for each child, and returned to the relevant team leaders.

Homeschool Horsecamp (Mooikrans)

Place : Mooikrans is situated in Mpumalanga between Amersfoort and Morgenzon.
Cost : R1850 per person- children and adults alike.

The camp includes activities starting with morning chores of feeding the various animals & fetching the horses, praise and worship, outride in the veldt or lessons in the arena, Kleilat-gooi, target shooting, woodwork, obstacle course and various other games and activities which make the week fun and adventurous! Evenings we have “lantern bekruip”, “grenswag”, star watching, camp concert and the all time favorite “camp sokkie” where we do barn-type dancing and EVERYONE has great fun! All children are welcome to attend, but the camps are best suited for children 9 years to 17 years but younger or older are just as welcome!
